His descriptions for finishing the trucks with butcher block conditioner is spot on, I used the very same thing on the wooden cutting board I made last November. As for axles… You can use dowels like in the video but many of our customers use wood axle pegs. Just glue the pegs to the truck body and you’re done. The axle peg tops provide a nice hubcap look to the wood toy truck. Also… to enhance the wood toy truck fun… drill a hole in the top so to put in wood people pegs in. Now you have passengers! They can be loose so when you “crash” the trucks, the people fall out…
